Football Grounds Mayne - Tigers
I hope to give some brief information about football grounds in Brisbane. It's apity I had not taken photos over the decades of all the grounds I have seen football played at. Since about 1956 when I first saw games at the Sandgate Football Club. I now have a digital camera so it's so easy to take photographs. I take a series of images and using The GIMP I make panoramic images by joining the images together.
This
ground is actually the Everton
Australian Football Club ground but there is an arrangement between
the two clubs so Mayne Tigers can call it home. This is looking to
the southeast. The southern goal posts can just be seen to the right
of the red roof of a building. The scoreboard is not in the photo but
is on the left side. The small club house is the building at about
wing position as looking past the left goal post at this end. Mayne
play in the AFLQ Division two. The photo on the right is the sign at
the entrance.
