Dancing....................................Back in the City Hall, hooray!!!
Brisbane City Council 50+ Centre. Due to maintenance of the City Hall being completed in regards the 50+ centre, most of the 50+ activities are now back to being held in the City Hall in the Sherwood Room. Entry is by the Ann Street entrance but by other entrances if needed.

Dancing
We have danced for many years, Marie when she was a young teenager. We both danced before we met, had a short break until Maria was still pre-school and we commenced again at the Auchenflower Bowls Club in Brisbane, Australia.
Here is a photo of us I made look like an oil painting. We were at a Christmas dance at the Chermside Senior Citz.
50+ Seniors Week Dance Day
There
were many people who organised this special day. It was held in the
Brisbane Room at the Brisbane City Hall on Tuesday the 17th
of August 2004.
Marie was one of these people who put in quite a bit of time so thanks to them. I took a couple of photos but at the time I type this there is only one, I hope to publish one or two more later. The day was very successful to say the least with the various groups demonstrating, clogging, line dancing, art and so on. As can be seen in this photo on the right which you will see as a bigger image if you click on it.

Back to the City Hall in the Sherwood
The Sherwood Room is air-conditioned. The room has temporary portable room dividers in the main section. The rear room is used by the Art and Craft Group. Here are some photos I took in March soon after the new 50+ returned to the City Hall.
I want to point out that the new 50+ venue is also being used for other activities other than dancing. Such as Art, craft, line dancing, clogging, cards and other. For further information please contact the City Hall.
